Alpe Cimbra: new "Francolini – Sommo Alto" gondola lift

Alpe Cimbra is getting ready for the winter season: the new "Francolini – Sommo Alto" gondola lift, that will be inaugurated at the beginning of this winter season.

Built by Leitner, the new lift system will feature modern 10-seater cabins and will connect the area below the village of Francolini, at an altitude of 1,178 m, with the summit of Sommo Alto, located at 1,620 m. The new gondola will cover a distance of 2,800 meters in just eight minutes, offering a fast, comfortable, and scenic connection.

The "Francolini – Sommo Alto" gondola will also operate during the summer season, from May to October, providing access to the many trails that branch out from the top station – an ideal starting point for hikes, trekking, and outdoor activities.
