Ski area with 100 kilometres of slopes

Passo Tonale is the ancient and natural connection with the Lombardy region and is today a prized winter destination articulated over the vast skiing area on the crossing, connected with Ponte di Legno and the Presena Glacier that can be reached within minutes by a fast cable car. Local operators are particularly appreciated for organising many possibilities and combinations of activities enjoyed by foreign customers as well as Italians from Lombardy. ...

Passo Tonale offers a guarantee for a constant and abundant natural snow cover thanks to the high altitude (around 2,000 metres) of the station. It is a much loved destination also in the spring skiing period and for the growing crowd of free ride lovers thanks to its excellent orientation and the possibility of skiing also close to summer on the Presena Glacier, at over 3,000 m altitude. The vast local orography (mountain formations) allowed the realisation of wide and large trails on the mountain sides that dominate the pass filled with the fast chair lifts. From the Passo Paradiso, the top cabin car station, a demanding slope descends to the Pass and then allows a truly beautiful and long “non-stop” run of nearly 12 km to Ponte di Legno with the possibility of visiting the local ski area starting from Corno d’Aola. The return journey is guaranteed by the long and fast cable car that from the Lombard village climbs to the Passo Tonale.
