Worry-free skiing? It’s still possible during the Covid era
We want to make sure that you’ll be safe this season so we’ve come up with several ways to reduce lines at the lifts and at our ticket offices. The first step includes a special discount of up to 10% if you decide to purchase your lift pass online. And if you purchase a season pass or a multi-day lift pass, you’ll be refunded if lockdown restrictions are imposed or if you test positive for Covid-19. Before the start of the ski season, we will also be launching an app for intelligent queue management.
Snow has already fallen on Trentino’s mountain peaks and the first slopes are scheduled to open at the end of October. But will we still be able to ski this winter with all of the Covid restrictions in place? Yes, if each of us acts responsibly. That’s exactly why, from now up until the official opening of the season, here at the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta Consortium we’ve decided to launch and to implement several ways to manage waiting times, to avoid crowds and to swiftly, but above all, safely manage access to the lifts. All of these measures have been taken to ensure a maximum level of safety.
An action plan for 150 lifts
Ticket offices, lift stations, gondola lifts. All of the facilities and amenities in the 8 Trentino ski resorts that are part of the Skirama Consortium will be included in our action plan (Skiarea Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta with Madonna di Campiglio, Folgarida Marilleva and Pinzolo, Skiarea Pejo3000, Pontedilegno-Tonale, Paganella Ski, Alpe Cimbra and Monte Bondone) for a total of almost 400 kilometers of slopes and 150 lifts.
We are just waiting to to receive the guidelines set out by the provincial government of Trento, which will be approved during the next few days, to officially put our plan into action. The new regulations that the government is currently reviewing, will of course take into account how safety guidelines were successfully implemented last summer on all lift facilities, which included social distancing at ticket offices and lift stations, daily cleaning and disinfecting of the gondola cabins, washroom facilities and all other public areas, hand sanitizer dispensers, mandatory face coverings while waiting to access the lifts and during use of the lifts in addition to keeping all windows open in the gondola cabins.
Buy online and save
In the meantime, one decision has already been made. One of our goals is to definitely do all that we can to encourage everyone to purchase their lift passes online, instead of going to the ticket offices. You’ll be able to purchase any type of lift pass directly online. No lines and no crowds, you won’t have to waste your valuable time and you’ll also receive a discount of up to 10% on the official Superskirama lift rates, depending on the dates and the season period. Discounts will be applied to Superskirama or local season passes and on all one-day or multi-day adult, junior and child lift passes.
But this is just a part of an extensive campaign that we are working on which will also include an app, used by many amusement parks and large-scale retailers, to help skiers “intelligently” avoid lines at the lifts.
A lift pass with a guaranteed refund
As of October 29th, Superskirama season lift passes are available for purchase and this season we’ve also introduced a new refund protection policy for our clients: a guaranteed minimum number of days that lifts will remain open – eighty – therefore, clients will receive a partial refund of the cost of their lift pass if resorts remain open less than eighty days. If restrictions, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, are imposed by local or national authorities that include the complete closure of all lifts, clients will receive a refund of their season passes based on the number of days for which lifts are not able to provide the guaranteed minimum number of opening days. This policy applies to Superskirama adult, super senior, senior, junior and child season lift passes, including lift passes sold during pre-season sales, for the 2020/2021 winter season; season lift passes purchased with special rates or discounts are not entitled to a refund.
The same applies to weekly and multi-day lift passes that are purchased by clients at the start of their stay: if a client tests positive for Covid-19 or if a complete closure of the lifts should occur due to the pandemic, clients will receive a refund for the days that their lift pass cannot be used.
