Tonale - Ponte di Legno
This area is considered one of a kind in Trentino due to the fact that the snow season in Passo Tonale never ends: from one winter season to the next and all through the summer without ever taking your skis off, thanks to the slopes and lifts in the Presena Glacier area that reach an altitude of 3000 m, used both by national teams and by ski clubs for training sessions.
Where we are
At the furthest Western stretch of Val di Sole, Passo Tonale is an Alpine pass that was used in ancient times by the people living in Val di Sole and Val Camonica. Helped by a unique natural setting and by its height, a modern mountain resort has replaced in recent times the traditional hospices. From the Alpine huts at high altitude, that you may want reach by fast four-seat covered chair-lifts even only to get a suntan, you will enjoy the charming view of the snow-clad Presanella cliffs, Cima Vermiglio and Busazza.
