The Altopiano (plateau) of Folgaria and Lavarone, with its Ski Tour of the Austro-Hungarian Forts, represents the most important ski area of the south eastern part of the Trentino region, ranking first in the nation-wide classification published by the Italian Touring Club based on the quality of the facilities and the environment. This resort is set amongst extensive views and landscapes, ranging from the Brenta Dolomites to the Pasubio Massif, and from the Adamello mountain range to the Marmolada. At only 18 km from the Rovereto Nord motorway exit (A22 Brennero motorway), the Folgaria and Lavarone plateau is easily reached from Val d’Adige and from the nearby Veneto. At Folgaria the Costa, Francolini, Fondo Piccolo, Fondo Grande, Malga Ortesino and Serrada areas are linked by a network of slopes and lift facilities. In the same way, at Lavarone, the Bertoldi, Tablat and Malga Rivetta facilities.
