Paradiso - Passo del Tonale
One of the historical slopes of the alpine arch that is definitely a part of skiing history. Open to the public for the first time in 1963, this slope has been improved and changed during the past forty-five years to make it more accessible but without altering its charm. The last changes were made in 2005 that coincided with the inauguration of the new Tonale-Paradiso twin-cable cableway system, which replaced the old but famous cable lift which has now officially “retired”. After a fairly easy 200 meter start, the long dive down towards Passo del Tonale from Passo Paradiso finally begins. The track is quite wide with a challenging but constant slope, which after 1.500 meters turns into a diagonal descent where you can catch your breath and give your legs a break after this demanding section. It is a very technical slope for good skiers. It offers excellent snow conditions due to the fact that the entire slope faces north. Highly recommended during February, March and April.
Technical details: “Black” slope Start 2.587 meters asl Finish 1.850 meters asl Vertical drop 737 meters Length 3.000 meters
