Pinzolo is a cosy medium mountain village in Val Rendena, few kilometres away from Madonna di Campiglio, embedded between the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello and Presanella ranges, at the heart of the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park. Thanks to its quiet ambience and charming surroundings, this is an ideal holiday resort for families.
At the heart of the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park, at the fork with Val Genova, known as the "waterfall valley", Pinzolo lies at the foothill of Doss Sabiòn and offers a comprehensive ski area in an extraordinary setting, a natural balcony over the best-known peaks and ranges of Western Trentino.
Pinzolo, Giustino and Carisolo together offer 48 hotels and 11 bed and breakfast establishments, sleeping 2705 people altogether, as well as 10 apartment hotels.
The Doss Sabion ski area, located in the Grual hollow, offers a new "snowpark" for snowboarders. The Doss is also an excellent jumping slope for para-sailing enthusiasts. The resort boasts 20 km cross country trails as well. A 3 km lighted trail is available at Carisolo. A modern indoor skating rink can be used for skating, hockey, curling and broomball, and there are an indoor swimming pool and a horseback riding centre. The Adamello-Brenta Natural Park, with its silent valleys, can be explored during the winter season either basking on snowshoes, hiking on cross-country skis or going ski-mountaineering.
Pinzolo offers a modern network of facilities: a revamped cable car system takes from the resort up to Doss del Sabion, 2.000 metres a.s.l., home of the international Trofeo Topolino youngster downhill ski race in February, as well as a launching pad for future ski racers. Its 26 km slopes, 60% of which equipped with artificial snow-making equipment, are served by 9 lift facilities (13 thousand people/hour).
